Brief History
The "STAGE of Origin" was founded by Wesley Faleolo to provide a platform for our sports stars to shine on stage. It provides an awesome opportunity to allow others to benefit in every sense. Since 2003 - NZs national sport heroes have left their comfort zones and taken on the arts of song, dance and theatre. From humble beginnings the event continues to grow. Ten shows on, the STAGE of Origin has been so successful in NZ, the Rove show episodes were interupted, to broadcast the event. The event has advocated many positive messages into the community and has also provided over $300,000.00 to non-profit organisations. It has been labelled "Events that Give".

Events That Give
Our journey has proven that when we genuinely give, we truly receive. Staying true to the "tried and proven", every event run, will ensure a portion of funds will go to 3 areas in need. The 3 areas are Mentoring, Global & Local. Each participating NRL club will select the charity that will receive the funds. These transactions can be monitored through transparent processes run by www.B1G1.com. There are great benefits if you register your business or charity with B1G1.

Strategies

Australasian and Global
To run annual fixtures to allow sport fans to benefit, not only so, but also non-profit groups to benefit from funds raised from each event. With events & broadcasting formats secure, the task at hand is to implement the NRL club trials, followed by the state challenge and
trans-tasman challenge. Other sport codes to follow.

The Trials
The STAGE of Origin TRIALS - A scheduled event, for NRL clubs who take on the opportunity and forward their best stage talent to compete. Either have current & former stars battles, or an interclub battle. These events will be scheduled through the year. The trials will support +3 causes selected by the NRL clubs involved.

Selection
At each trial, we will select the wittiest and most talented NRL players on stage for the NSW vs QLD state challenge.

Do you want to see your NRL hero dance, sing or act for a good cause?
Tell us who you think should represent your NRL Club.
Tell us who you think should represent your NRL State.
The selection panel - Wendy Harmer, Jay Lagai'aia & Joe Galuvao

The State Challenge
The 1st challenge of an annual event, that will bring the best of NSW & QLDs NRL show men, as they battle on stage to determine which state holds the bragging rights to the STAGE of Origin title.
